Leaving Crick

We have been so busy enjoying the show for the last couple of days we haven’t had much time to post the blog!

After the show finished on Tuesday we went out to the Red Lion in Crick village for a meal with Chris and Anne of nb ‘Snail’s Pace’ to celebrate with them after being voted best boat in show by the public.

On Wednesday James caught the bus into Rugby (he doesn’t like buses) to have a blood test to check on his warfarin levels. Everything was OK and, now that he has rearranged his pre-op appointment with the Chichester hospital, we can now enjoy the next 3 weeks on ‘Chance’. Yippee!

Last night (Wednesday) was our final night and we were delighted to be asked by Jayne and Stephen from nb ‘Dolce Far Niente’ and Chris and Les from nb ‘Eleventh Heaven’ to join them for an evening meal. We walked to The Wheatsheaf in the village and just as we set off from the canal down came the rain……..

………….but we were rewarded afterwards with a fantastic rainbow.

After a terrific meal, and great company, we all returned to ‘Chance’ for another glass (or two) of wine, followed by a glass (or two) of port with cheese and biscuits. All finished off with coffee and a glass (or two) of home made sloe gin.
