We enjoyed another great evening last night (Monday) being entertained and fed by Jayne and Stephen on nb ‘Dolce Far Niente’ (thank you very much guys – we owe you a meal!) Chris and Lesley from nb ‘Eleventh Heaven’ and Adam and Adrian from nb ‘Briar Rose’ were also there to enjoy the great hospitality. Today we awoke to a dry but cloudy day for the forth and final day at the Crick Show.
MGM’s show boat ‘Snails Pace’ was very busy with visitors – a reminder of our time with ‘Chance’ last year. This year we were able to spend time looking around the show but also helped as well with ‘Snails Pace’. Beta Marine (makers of our engine) were their usual helpful selves offering information and advice.
The rain started again by 3pm, which made packing up a bit of chore. However, the mood was brightened for us all when we were told that nb ‘Snail’s Pace’ had been voted best boat in show. We are so pleased for MGM Boats and especially for the owners of ‘Snail’s Pace’, Chris and Anne and their son John, who worked very hard this weekend and who we are joining for a meal this evening.
The 2012 Crick Show winner – nb ‘Snail’s Pace’ by MGM Boats.
The “J – Lo” stern (broad but still attractive!) first used on ‘Chance’ last year and which has been a great talking point again this year on ‘Snail’s Pace’.
Hi Doug, James & Oscar, It was good to run into you at Crick, on our very wet stroll down the canal looking at all the visitor boats, just a shame the day was so rainy. We had a walk down to Nb Snails Pace but couldn’t see you James. Hopefully we’ll meet you all next time. Love reading your blog.
