Yesterday we popped round to some Selsey friends for a cup of tea and to see their new ‘toy’ ………
…….. below the kitchen floor is a self contained circular cellar, containing more wine then we’ve ever seen in such a small space. The glass door is operated electrically …….
……allowing entry down the spiral stairs.
It’s a great centre piece at night when lit from inside …..
……and a very neat finish in the floor. Seems like a brilliant invention.
Today our very kind neighbour Nigel gave us a lift to Southampton where we, very simply and quickly, boarded the P&O “Arcadia” for a 12 day cruise to Iceland and the Faroe Islands.
Cruise terminals are never very beautiful places but it’s always a bit of thrill to see the ship for the first time regardless.
Our cabin is very nice indeed and we were settled in within 1/2 hour after being dropped off – nowhere near the fuss when flying.
At lunch we caught up with our friend Dolreich, who was our wine waiter on the “Aurora” last November. We hope we will be able to meet up with him occasionally (if he ever gets any time off duty!)
A quick look around the upper decks reveal masses of space to lounge in the sun (if only there was some!)
We have to go – muster stations have been called!
Enjoy the midnight sun :-)

I guess you guys will have to have a Wine Butty instead of a cellar... LOL
