We’ve met up with friends made on last year’s QM2 trans-Atlantic crossing and, as an added delight, a table has been organised to allow us all to meet up for dinner. (Back row) Francois, Alasdair and Doug (bottom row) Jonathan, Tony, Eric, Mat, and Andrew during last night’s formal evening.
Today (Monday) the temperature in the North Atlantic is a rare 18 deg. which allows us to promenade on deck in our shirt sleeves.
While we stroll at our leisure ……..
…….. members of the ship’s company are hard at work maintaining this beautiful ship.
The back of the ship is a lovely place with it’s many decks tumbling in tiers down towards the stern.
This is just to remind ourselves where we are!
One of the two hooters mounted on the ships funnel is from the original Queen Mary and it happens to be the loudest of the pair.
Celia Imrie popped in to join us for our regular pre-dinner drinks get together with friends. She’s one of the guest speakers on this crossing and such a funny and natural lady - we had a great time chatting with her this evening.
Love the pic of James at the back of the ship - he could be holding a tiller there!
