It was just one thing after another!……..

………. and what fantastic, exciting things they were  as we say bye bye to London (for a short while).

But lets go back to Tuesday evening when we caught sight of Daniel Radcliff (very small person!).

Also Tuesday evening we saw some filming taking place in Soho -  it was something for a TV show so look out for the Blush Bus!

Wednesday saw us catching up with the washing at the local laundrette but not before we walked round to ‘Dolce Far Niente’ and had a lovely relaxing coffee with Jayne, as they were leaving today and heading along the Regents Canal.

While Doug slaved away with the washing James went to the Fleming Museum in St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington to see the laboratory where Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin.  A great £2 spent and a personal guided tour included.

Flemings lab  is the behind the windows above the first floor.

Wednesday late afternoon we went to ‘Caxton’ and had a beer with Paul and Elaine.  We also had the pleasure of meeting their niece Josie. We had a great time with them before heading down to Soho for something to eat and a last drink.

This morning we had a 6am start from Paddington Basin and onto the Grand Union Canal to Uxbridge.IMG_1492

We passed a working wharf  at the Hanson site – a rare sight these days.

‘Chance ‘ is moored up safe and warm for a few days while we take a trip back home for a party this weekend and to catch up with a few friends.
