It’s been hellishly hot in Selsey today so we’ve been doing a gentle bit of lawn cutting and general gardening and looking forward to this evening when we went to see Julian Clary in conversation - part of the Chichester Festival program of events.
He was in conversation with John Coldstream about his new book “Briefs Encountered”, about his life in general and his views on a whole range of subjects. He was his usual witty self but we were treated to the more serious side as well.
After the session we got him to sign a copy of his book and had a quick chat about the last time he did this in Chichester when he forgot to bring his clothes with him! On that occasion he performed barefoot with a borrowed shirt from the interviewers’ husband and trousers from a lighting technician!
