Last Saturday (the day after the party) we had open house for friends and family who were making a weekend of their visit or anyone else who might just want a free lunch! Again the sun shone and we had a super day catching up with those who we were only able to see for a short while at the party.
Feeding the five thousand.
By Sunday we had only had 3 guests left – Birgit, our German friend who flew in especially for the party, and Rose and Pete. We had a nice day in Old Portsmouth where we had lunch, looked around the Cathedral and generally ducked and dived around the rain showers.

On Tuesday Oscar had his weekly swim in his doggy pool, before we drove into Brighton again. The excuse being that we needed our rings enlarged very slightly. So we went back to our very obliging jeweller Richie, at Royal Jewellery in “The Lanes”, who did the job for us. We promised we would put a picture of him on the blog!

We couldn’t go to Brighton without ‘doing lunch’ – this time it was al Fresco at La Tasca.
Well the washing machine and dishwasher have been working overtime since the weekend but we’re finally ready to head north on Thursday and get back aboard ‘Chance’. We’ve had a very busy two weeks here in Sussex but it’s been a tremendous time.
Enjoy the relaxation of Chance, and hears hoping for some Chance weather.
