We arrived at MGM in Thurmaston yesterday and had a nice evening catching up with some of the boaters on the moorings who we haven’t seen for 4 months.
This morning ‘Chance’ was taken out of the water to be re-blacked in preparation for the winter, a replacement bow thruster grill, which we lost during our travels, and a galvanic isolator fitted.
Mark getting ‘Chance’ on the carriages and winching it up the ramp and into the poly tunnel.
A view from across the river with ‘Chance’s’ rear end nearly under water! The holes for the exhaust and heating had to be covered beforehand!
Slowly ‘Chance’ is winched out of the water.
As Chance is going to be out of the water for a week, and James wants to do a few jobs on it himself, Doug has a hire car for a week to go back home tomorrow with Oscar. He will call in to see our daughters on the way back. Oscar also has a couple of swimming sessions booked at his doggy pool and a visit to the vets so he will be having a busy week back at home.
